Sessions

Sessions represent active connections between AI agents and an OpenClaw Gateway. OpenClaw Swarm gives you a live view of every session across your entire swarm.

Session list

From any gateway's detail view, you can see all active and recent sessions. Each session shows:

• Session key — unique identifier for the session
• Agent identity — which agent is connected
• Duration — how long the session has been active
• Token usage — input and output tokens consumed
• Cost — estimated cost based on token usage and model pricing

All numbers update in real time as the session progresses.

Session detail

Click any session to open its full detail view:

• Chat history — for chat-type sessions, see the full conversation between the agent and the model
• Token statistics — detailed breakdown of tokens by message
• Session metadata — raw metadata reported by the gateway (model, parameters, timestamps)

Swarm-wide search

Use Cmd+K to open the command palette and search across all sessions in your swarm. You can search by session key, agent name, or gateway — and jump directly to any session detail view.
